Accident Investigation
Identifying root causes to prevent repeat incidents and improve workplace safety.

Most accident investigations explain what happened. Ours uncover why it happened and how to prevent it happening again.
The expertise and experience within Handling Change is often called upon to support organisations following workplace injuries and accidents, a role we are always happy to fulfil.
However, we also continually look for ways to add long-term value to our clients. In doing so, we have identified a common pattern in how internal accident investigations are often conducted: organisations are typically

effective at establishing the what, where, and when, but less confident when it comes to understanding the why and the what next.
Our Accident Investigation course is designed to address exactly that.
It focuses on the same principles we apply in our own investigations, teaching you how to identify direct causes, contributory factors, and the important behavioural elements that sit behind incidents. We believe that when the right information is gathered and correctly interpreted, it leads to meaningful conclusions that can be clearly communicated across the organisation, helping to prevent recurrence.
The aim is to strengthen existing capability, improving how organisations respond to incidents and ultimately supporting more proactive prevention strategies that help future-proof the workplace. This is a one-day course that includes practical role-play scenarios, development of soft skills, and a focus on behavioural understanding and change.
