Hazard Awareness
Helping your team recognise risks early and take action before incidents occur.

Most hazard awareness training points out risks. Ours helps your team see and act on them in real time.

All too often, workplace accidents and injuries occur that could have been prevented.

In many cases, reducing these incidents is simpler than expected. While many organisations use hazard audit programmes, these can often become little more than a “tick-box” exercise focused on meeting KPIs rather than driving real change.

Our approach is different.

Like all of our programmes, we work closely with individuals to understand the real challenges they face day to day, both at work and at home. This ensures everyone receives the same key information, delivered in a consistent and practical way.

We believe that when people are genuinely engaged and understand how hazard awareness fits within wider Health & Safety systems and risk assessments, it leads to greater ownership and a more consistent approach across the workforce. Hazard perception is exactly that, perception. It is influenced by experience and familiarity, and over time it is easy to become complacent and overlook risks that are present every day.

Our short Hazard Awareness course combines both theoretical and practical elements, with a clear focus on identifying hazards, taking responsibility, and implementing effective action. It is particularly valuable for supervisory and management teams, giving them the confidence to identify and raise hazards, and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken. We all have a role to play.
